  • I am a Champion!: Version 1

    Lisa M Britton

Paperback (Independently published, May 1, 2019)
Boys are being left behind. Our society has encouraged empowering girls for decades and we are seeing the results today. There are more females in college than males. Women are running companies, winning elections, and are viewed as equals in society, but now, boys are stagnating. Boys are, on average, two years behind girls in school. They are more likely to drop out of school, be left behind, and also be suspended. Many are choosing not to pursue a higher education and heading into the workforce right away, leaving them optionless. We have to empower ALL children of both genders; as equals. I AM A CHAMPION encourages boys to be the best version of themselves; teaching them that they can strive to become whatever they want to be in life and motivates them to be a champion for all. It is time to focus on boys building confidence and good character. If we empower ALL children today, society will have a better tomorrow!

  • Mommy Says

    Lisa Britton

    language (, March 16, 2020)
Social Media. Magazines. Blogs. TV. As adults, we understand that what we see on our smartphones is a façade. Those photos are retouched, that fashion spread is edited, and reality TV does not necessarily portray reality. Unfortunately, many young females joining the online community don't understand this truth. They begin to base their own self-worth by what appears in their news feeds. Parents worry about what their daughters will experience once they start seeing unrealistic images online, in print, and on TV. The pressure to be perfect, thin, and beautiful may be too much for their young and sensitive souls to bear. Mommy Says is an educational children's book that teaches young girls (ages 5+) that the digital world they are about to enter doesn’t always depict reality. Children begin absorbing information at a very young age. What they are taught, what they see and what they hear become embedded in their developing minds and affect how they think in their teens and even into adulthood. Teaching them to not judge themselves based off a false reality and enlightening them to the truth about social media and cyberspace are essential during this pivotal time.
  • MeMe the Parrot:

    Lisa Britton

    language (, March 15, 2020)
Bullying has plagued school campuses for decades. With the rise of social media, a new form of bullying has developed into an epidemic. Cyberbullying has allowed the torment to follow children home from school and occurs behind closed doors. In order to fight this growing trend, we must take action by educating young children (before they even begin going online) that cyberbullying is wrong and they do not want to take part in it. What we teach them at this tender age will be embedded in their subconscious and will remain with them into their teens and even into adulthood. Instinctually, they will not want to join in with others who are bullying a classmate. They will not want to be a parrot. MeMe the Parrot is a story about a young parrot who recently joined social media. She sees her classmates bullying a friend, Gram, and knows it is wrong. She wants to do something about it! MeMe has courage, and isn’t afraid to stand up against the bullies who are picking on her pal. The character MeMe exhibits represents the qualities we hope to see in our own children. By teaching young children now, we can put an end to cyberbullying in their future!
