Jay thought that he was alone in the strange room of curious taxidermy animals, but someone was monitoring his every movement. As violent riots rip through town, the empty library seems like the perfect place to wait out the storm. But the chaos never dies down. The town is quarantined, and communication from the outside world comes to an abrupt halt. Joining a group of survivors who believe in embracing their inner spirit animals, Jay finds tentative happiness with his childhood friend Cassie and begins to rebuild his life under the tutelage of the group's leader, a strange blind man named Tiresias. But when the taxidermy animals from the library begin reappearing with sinister notes and Jay's new friends begin to disappear, he discovers that he is key to a failed experiment called 'Nightmare Zoo' that is tied into his own dark past. What Jay doesn't know is that the evil lurking in the deserted town has already taken root inside himself and everyone left inside the quarantine zone. But things really get out of hand when the nightmare zoo finally comes to life...
