He started writing children’s stories after he began teaching Elementary School. When he began to teach art to children he noticed that they were most interested in the dragon illustrations and stories. Leonard is inspired by the concept of the oneness of mankind, and believes that all children should be fi lled with the love of learning. He intends on continuing to teach art and create his own paintings and sculptures. He’s already started work on another book with the same dragon characters. He grew up in Chicago, Illinois and currently lives in San Jose, Costa Rica.
