  • Battle the Flu: How to Boost Your Immunity Naturally at Home?

    Leia Cohen

    language (, May 3, 2020)
Few people know this, but thereโ€™s a protein in the influenza virus that can damage epithelial cells in the lungs as well, leading to fluid build-up in the lungs, which can have severe consequences. This was revealed not only during H1N1 influenza but in the recent virus, where the rapid spread of the virus throughout the world has once again highlighted the need for a better understanding of how these viruses can wreak havoc on our health. But, more importantly, how we can save our lungs from the serious damage that can be caused by viruses once they enter our body. We already know that in severe cases of the flu, fluids tend to accumulate in the lungs, which can make it difficult to breathe. We see the same thing happening to patients who have been exposed to the virus. According to research, the flu virus contains a protein known as M2, which causes damage to the protein in our lungs, which is responsible for clearing fluid build-up by increasing free radicals and oxidants in the cells. While on a global level, vaccination are mainly used for treating overpopulated poorer countries or the elderly, if you maintain a healthy lifestyle, which includes a healthy diet and regular exercise, you can help keep sickness at bay. This is why other interventions need to be made in order to keep us safe from the flu virus - this includes keeping our lungs healthy, during, or past flu season.
