It is said that so long as the star Alovalianevansrae burns, there will not be another War of the Races. But now, the star grows dimmer, and demonic activity is on the rise. Shri and Collie journey to the haunted Keldrin’s Meadow, where they learn a disturbing reason for the emboldened demons. Amidst all this, Shri is determined to free his dear companion, Azzahn. But to do so, he will have to turn to the one person who can make him bow. Ellina and a small band of elven soldiers travel deep into the heart of Mithorin to find the Catharin, the old elves. But upon doing so, Ellina’s mission becomes bigger than simply persuading the Catharin to join them. Thraein, a Catharin warrior, enlists Ellina’s help in freeing Catharin enslaved by dwensvor, evil dwarves who commune with demons. Thraein’s beloved Vahnor, a scarred and blind Catharin, knows better than anyone what the dwensvor do to their slaves. Ellina agrees to aid in rescuing the slaves, a mission that will test all her limits. Gildas and the other Ginjo can no longer deny the inevitability of another War of the Races. As demons threaten Elyshaeza, Gildas knows he has to do whatever it takes to save Celestia and Elyshaeza. But as things spin farther out of his control, he doesn’t realize the cost until it is too late. Artemis journeys with Ishon-Zhrin and Taliyen, but soon finds itself in a dangerous situation, one that will push it to discover where its abilities lie. And it isn’t the only one of its companions with secrets. After helping to dissemble the cultists, Neil and his three elven friends have earned a small reprieve. But it doesn’t last, and they are soon in a battle for the city of Notton, and their very lives. Falling Star is the sequel to Rising Star.
