    Yarn Bag Patterns – Baby Afghan to Crochet is perfect for a new baby or toddler. While the crochet pattern is sized for a baby blanket it can also be adjusted in size for an adult. Most stitches are basic crochet stitches including the single crochet, half double crochet, and double crochet stitches. This crochet project is done in squares that are attached as you go with crochet stitches that gives this easy to crochet baby blanket a wonderful vintage look. While the pattern calls for a lighter yarn, a heavier weight yarn can be substituted along with the proper size crochet hooks to make the same style afghan in a larger size for an adult or older child.Yarns best suited for the baby blanket are soft and lighter weight yarns. Lace and Fingering weight yarns can be used if they are doubled up which will result in a very light weight blanket. Three different options are provided for edgings. Additional ideas for other projects for this pattern are given as well.
