This book takes the reader back in time to the very start of the author’s birth, as far as he can remember, and it focuses on his spiritual development since then, at least until the present day. Many challenges unfolded before the author as he grew up, and faced with the uncertainty of life he began exploring various approaches to life as far as religion is concerned, mainly Christianity and Buddhism. Being born into a Taoist family, he followed the family in practicing ancestral worship; but, surrounded with questions consistently, he started searching for the meaning of life through various means and finally settled for what he feels is the right path for him to follow henceforth. Embark on a spiritual quest with the author as he brings you along with him on a journey spanning 40-plus years of spiritual exploration (which is still a work in progress, by the way) and hopefully have your own questions (if any) concerning your own faith answered along the way.

She looks at the screen and two red 'eyes' are glaring at her. She closes her eyes and says a Hail Mary. When she opens them the screen is clear. Some unseen force hurls Charlie from his porch down to the driveway. He sees a shadow wolf glaring and growling at him. Charlie hears the words, "Relinquere Abadon aut Mori". Another growl is heard and the beast vanishes into the forest.Father Sir comes home and finds the clothes the Bobby gave to Jacob. He accuses him of being a thief and visiting 'heathens'. The words are a perversion from the Book of Proverbs.Jacob has run deep into the forest but Lily comes to him and directs him to the Winter's house. Micah Lightfoot finds Jacob at the Winter's place and accuses the Winters of kidnapping his son. Jacob runs back into the forest. Charlie calls Chief Martin to report the trouble with Jacob's dad and his boy.

Eleanor, out on the porch, sees several shadows coming up the driveway towards her. Bigger and darker they become and she begins to pray.
