    Amy Wilson Carmichael (1867 - 1951) was a Christian missionary in India, who opened an orphanage and founded a mission in Dohnavur, South India. Published in 1912, Lotus Buds is one of her numerous books which describe her work and ministry with Indian children. The book features evocative portraits of the children from the orphanage. This edition includes fifty black and white photographs of children and places from Dohnavur taken especially for this book.
