Married for 34 years, the couple has two adult children, Danae and Tyler. The author taught elementary school for 26 years, retiring in 2016. She enjoys reading, traveling, and trying new restaurants. She is presently an adjunct professor, a calligrapher, a health and wellness consultant, and she visits schools, reading and discussing her first book about bullying, A Bug and a Wish.
