“Arminius' Son” is a work of fiction, a short story. Names, characters, places, and incidents are based on historical research of the antiquity in the area of the later Northrhine-Westfalia, Germany. Any resemblance to actual events, locales, or persons, living or dead, is entirely coincidental. The cover picture is an entirely different location some might have recognized that has a story somehow similar. This is to indicate, that occupation and liberty, nation's heros and heroines, have a place somewhere in people's hearts and if you read this story you might recognize the truth in every nation's history at some time or another. If you know one of the stories in history you see them all ... even today ... the closed minds, the most common and the rather special of culture and even the same stories in more distant places and times ... the time often being the clue to the whole story - and these stories live to be told.
