After the mysterious disappearance of her parents, Ginny Summit’s life became more complicated as she had to move in with her Aunt Elaine in Brooklyn, New York. Ginny had tried to keep her parents’ disappearance a secret from her best friends, but eventually had to tell them since they became suspicious about her parents’ absences at school family meetings. Although she swore to never keep any major secrets, she still harbored onto a big one—that she was also now a spy. During the initial police investigation of her parents’ disappearance, Sonny Mathurin, who was also working on the case, introduced her to the Y.A.S.T. or Young Academic Spy Team, a local group of young undercover spies who worked as affiliates with the C.I.A in Manhattan. Sonny, who was the head agent of the headquarters, promised Ginny that if she joined the Y.A.S.T, it would take her a step closer to finding her parents. Finding this promise appealing, Ginny gladly joined, and thus began her double life as a high school teenager and a secret agent.About a year later as Ginny was embarking on her first major missions as a spy, drama arrived in her high school when Jimmy Rockwell, the new hot guy, came to her math class and immediately set his eyes on her. As if that wasn’t dramatic enough, they were soon recognized as the hottest couple in school and got the attention of everyone, including Evey Van Schlep, who was the most popular and rich girl in the school at the time. However, the Y.A.S.T. wasn’t too happy about Ginny’s acquaintance with Jimmy—whose appearance was almost too coincident with that of its current madman foe, Bart Anorak—and warned her to be careful around him. Seldom heeding the Y.A.S.T’s advice, Ginny continued to see Jimmy, whom she had started connecting to, emotionally and physically. But would having a boyfriend, followed by the sudden surge of popularity, have been worth it in the end, or would it have started to come between her and her friends, and more importantly, her and the Y.A.S.T.?
