  • Spy Hopping

    Joy Brown

    (PublishAmerica, March 10, 2008)
Joy Brown is from Bellingham, Washington, and was raised in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. Her creativity is never ending as she is inspired by the amazing landscapes she sees and her love for all the wild creatures that are abundant in the Puget Sound. Working on a whale-watching boat for a season motivated Joy to create a children’s book that would generate more love and understanding for these incredible Orca whales. The image on the cover page is a painting called “Creatures’ Comfort” and was completed in 2005. Joy has been painting for fun since childhood but has become more serious about it recently. Her informal education is from watching videos of Bob Ross’ The Joy of Painting series that she picked up at the library. All the illustrations were created by hand and mouse on the computer in the Paint program.
