Did you know that kangaroos can’t walk backwards? Or that puffins can stand on their tippy-toes? Or that a group of jellyfish is called a smack? Well if you didn’t, you need to read ‘Didyano?’! Panama, City Florida based author and artist Timothy Thomas has created a fun filled, colorful and information packed children’s book that educates, entertains, and even astounds kids and their parents all at the same time. This book provides a one-page summary of facts on many zoo animals. Names of the males and females, as well as the group name, are included, plus some details about their young and how they are born or hatched. The Be Aware and Care segment on each animal's page has information on habitat and threats to the animal's existence. Even vultures, snakes, jellyfish and sharks are important, and there are tips on what kids can do to raise awareness about understanding and protecting them.
