Imagine waking up on a strange island, with no idea how you got there, surrounded by surreal landscapes, futuristic technology and dead celebrities. What if this island was ruled by a mysterious figure who took a special interest in developing your psychic powers? Young, vibrant and naïve, Cali Moves from a small Nebraska town to Hollywood, where she lands a job as personal assistant to Alexa Cherry, the reigning Princess of Pop and a very difficult personality. Despite Alexa’s diva demands, she and Cali become friends, but their bond is tested when a handsome rock star tries to seduce them both. One night on Alexas tour bus, Cali is swept up in brilliant flash and, in her “sleep,” transported to the Crystal Island. Though it resembles a luxury resort, it’s populated with celebrities and billionaires who have faked their own deaths. They’ve come to live out their years in privileged isolation until the earth is destroyed and can be repopulated by the elite. Was it just luck that landed Cali there? As Tynon, Cali’s enigmatic host would say, there is no such thing as luck. He seeks to bring out Cali’s unusually high life force and her innate talent for energy work. But are Tynon’s pure or does he have an agenda of his own? Will Cali ever be able to leave the island? Does she even want to? And what kind of a world will be waiting for her if she does? The Crystal Island is more than an action-packed story of friendship, love, and magic. It urges readers to believe in themselves and realize their own potential.
