The story begins in late winter, with the animals bored with the same dull food they have been fed for months. As spring arrives they join efforts in a colorful and magical way to plant, care for and harvest a garden of all their favorite foods. Children learn about farm animals and what they eat while enjoying the antics of all the characters in the book. The story promotes cooperation and teamwork in children.
