What is a Word Wall? Elementary school educators often use a "Word Wall", or collection of commonly used sight words in large print on the walls of their classrooms. Word Wall Readers give children practice with these grade level "high frequency" sight words helping them to become stronger readers. Educators often use these "word walls" to create flash cards or spelling lists for additional study. In these books, children can see these words in context. Word Wall Readers are developed with these words in mind. "Who Was Here?" takes Word Wall words for first graders and weaves them into a fun story. The added feature of Pop-up text within the Kindle platform give parents and children access to the words that appear on each page. "Who Was Here?" was developed with first grade words, but there is often a lot of overlap between grades making this title appropriate for readers from K-2.

I used to search for books dealing with the child's perspective on having to live with A.D.D. With my B.A. in Psychology and many personal experiences, I wrote and illustrated a book, walking in a child's shoes, to understand this learning disability from their perspective. I am not discounting the valuable input of professionals at all levels, but merely wanted to add additional understanding about what a child with A.D.D. must be going through - - through the perspective of a mother. I hope this book is helpful to families and individuals dealing with this issue with the children they love.
