Each volume in the "A to Z of Latino Americans" set contains between 150 and 200 biographical profiles of Latinos who have influenced and continue to impact the Latino community, the United States, and the world in a variety of fields and professions. Whether the individual was born in the United States or emigrated from such countries as Mexico, Cuba, Spain, or numerous other Central and South American nations, each Latino profiled has made significant contributions. Organized alphabetically, each entry contains a biographical profile of the individual that focuses on his or her professional achievements and offers a section of further reading. Each book also contains approximately 50 photographs of individuals profiled, a bibliography, three subject indexes, and a general index.
