Don’t read this manuscript if you expect to find a plot filled with intrigue, mystery, espionage, murder, or anything else for that matter, because my intention at the onset of this writing was to document the various holidays we celebrate in the United States and to explain why I like each one or why I don’t.I’m just a kid – a ten year old boy – and I have my own reasons why I like specific holidays, or in some cases, why I don’t like ‘em. Probably one of the most predominant reasons for liking certain holidays is whether I get out of school or not. But there are other reasons. You may not agree with my way of thinking, but at least, after reading this short narrative, I’m sure you’ll find that you have a better understanding of the origins of some of our holidays, and if nothing else, will have a better understanding of what they mean to the average fourth grader. If not, I failed. But anyway, Happy Holi-Daze!This book is a work of fiction. The characters, events, and places portrayed in this book are products of the author’s imagination and are fictitious or are used fictitiously. Any similarity to real persons, living or dead is purely coincidental and not intended by the author.
