A. R. One who is a direct descendant of Deborah Sampson, and from whom we have received the family tree which appears in the Appendix. This lady is Miss Amy Greer Thompson of New York, a great-great-granddaughter of our heroine, and the only member of the D. A. R. Who belongs to the Society as representing a female soldier.
