    C. Miller

(CreateSpace Independent Publishing Platform, July 14, 2014)
Escaping is hard. Surviving is harder. Aster has lived a life of servitude for ten years, but now she is determined to be free. Countless Reapers stand between her and the gate to New Bethel, and more await just past the walls. She’s spent her life being invisible, but in a world full of assassins, becoming close to any of them only makes you a target for the rest. Every step she takes puts her in more danger, closer to Reapers with unknown intentions. Unexpected friendships develop, but can she really trust any Reaper when they’ve all been trained to deceive? Aster and Chase know what awaits them outside the city, but can they get past it? In Aster’s journey for freedom, she learns there are some things in life you can’t ever truly escape from, and that some steps can’t ever be taken back.
  • Rabbits Eat Lettuce Without Any Dressing and Other Rhyming Stories

    Marian H Miller

Paperback (Rosedog Books, March 10, 2016)
This is a book for children. It is about children's thoughts and written in the voice of a child, from his or her perspective. It is about ordinary, everyday occurrences: the child who hesitates to try new food; the child who is told he is too young or too small to join in certain games or activities; the child who longs for a grandparent who lives far away; the child who is sick; and the child who is bored. It talks about ambition, like wanting to work with horses or owning a boat. It is about the things kids do and what they would like to do; about holidays and about family. Each rhyming story teaches an important lesson and shows children the wonders of an active imagination. "Rabbits Eat Lettuce Without Any Dressing and Other Rhyming Stories" can be read by children on their own or will be enjoyed by parents reading to their children. About the Author Marian H. Miller loves children. She is a mother and grandmother. She lives in a community where there are many grandparents who are delighted to meet someone like Marian, who loves to see the pictures of their grandchildren and listen to stories about the children's antics. Marian had a career as a legal secretary and worked in a prestigious New York law firm. Realizing the importance of a college education, she enrolled in Fordham University in New York and graduated with a BA degree, studying history and English. Marian now lives in Delray Beach, Florida. Marian has traveled quite extensively, making friends with children along the way. It is her view that children, no matter where in the world they live, all want the same things: family and friends to love them, to play, and to learn.
