  • The Aeroplane Speaks

    H. Barber

    eBook (iOnlineShopping.com, Feb. 26, 2019)
MOTIVEThe reasons impelling me to write this book, the maiden effort of my pen, are, firstly, a strong desire to help the ordinary man to understand the Aeroplane and the joys and troubles of its Pilot; and, secondly, to produce something of PRACTICAL assistance to the Pilot and his invaluable assistant the Rigger. Having had some eight years' experience in designing, building, and flying aeroplanes, I have hopes that the practical knowledge I have gained may offset the disadvantage of a hand more used to managing the “joy-stick” than the dreadful haltings, the many side-slips, the irregular speed, and, in short, the altogether disconcerting ways of a pen.

  • SHADOW: A CAT FOR ALL SEASONS

    H. Chris Barber

    (Xulon Press, Jan. 3, 2019)
How was I to know that my jumping up and pulling on the tassel would bring the tree down? Oh, what trouble I’m in, I thought as the tree leaned and finally came crashing down on me before I could get out of the way. Bang, and a loud bang it was, as the tree fell to the floor. “Meow, meow,” I screamed. The first to the room was Mom, and she was mad. “Shadow!” Cats are notorious for getting into trouble and finding things to keep them occupied. Shadow is no exception. A special, lively, and slightly troublesome cat, Shadow continually finds herself in the middle of a problem, whether it’s an invitation to a walnut squash dinner with her squirrel friends or constantly being chased by blue jays. The newest addition to a family living in Georgia, Shadow quickly builds relationships with the children and parents, who lovingly welcome her. And how does she repay them? By eating the tuna, digging in the trashcan, eating the pillow tassels, and generally getting into trouble daily.JOIN SHADOW, A CAT FOR ALL SEASONS, AS SHE LEARNS LESSON AFTER LESSON ABOUT FRIENDSHIP, ADVENTURES, FACING YOUR FEARS, AND HOW TO USE YOUR GIFTS TO HELP OTHERS.This is Chris Barber’s second published book. While this is the first of a series of books, Barber has prepared the path of becoming a part of the story and engaging readers to dream with them.
