In addition to the fantasy, the story touches on sibling rivalry, adjusting to stepparents and stepbrothers, and ADHD issues, which help enhance the realistic aspects of the story. And when the boys finally return home, they discover a valuable treasure in their possession--one that promises even more adventures in the future.
