This is the story of an Underwater Tour of the World and is a classic science fiction novel by French writer Jules Verne. It tells the story of Captain Nemo and his submarine Nautilus, as seen from the perspective of Professor Pierre Aronnax after he, his servant Conseil, and Canadian whaler Ned Land are brought aboard the submarine, called the Nautilus, where they meet the mysterious Captain Nemo. Their status on the ship seems ambiguous. Are they guests, as Nemo insists, or prisoners, as Ned Land begins to suspect? Nemo introduces them to the wonders of the underwater world. He shows them the lost continent of Atlantis and the wrecks he has plundered of gold as well as many other wonders.

At the end of Five Children and It Robert, Anthea, Cyril, and Jane promised not to ask the Psammead for another wish as long as they lived, but expressed a half wish to see it again some time. The children are reunited with the Psammead in a London pet store; the Psammead can't grant their wishes anymore - not after the last adventure - but he does tell them where to find half of an amulet of great power. The ancient Amulet can grant them their heart's desire and journey through time. The children desire the return of their parents, and their magic adventures start over again with a journey through time to ancient Babylon, Egypt, and Atlantis. FIVE CHILDREN AND IT The Five Children Cyril, Anthea, Robert, Jane, and Hilary the baby go to the country, they decide to go digging in a sand pit. There they find a furry creature with two horns on its head holding its eyes. The creature is the Psammead, a grumpy sand-fairy, the last of his kind, who grants a wish a day. Soon they find their wishes never seem to turn out right and often have unexpected consequences. The Five Children and IT offers a generous amount of fantasy, humor, and adventure, as the children are repeatedly subject to wishes gone comically wrong.

Heidi is a girl who has been raised by her aunt Dete in Maienfeld, Switzerland after the early deaths of her parents. However Dete would like to concentrate on her career. So she brings Heidi to her grandfather (Alm-Uncle) Alm-Uncle is good-hearted but mistrusts anybody and wants to keep the child from all evils of the world. So he refuses to send Heidi to school; instead she goes to the pastures, together with Peter, a shepherd boy looking after the goats. Heidi, is happy and healthy, leading a carefree life with her grandfather, her new friend, Peter, and the goats on the Alm. But Heidi's happiness is short-lived when she is sent to stay with a rich city family as a companion for a sick girl, Clara. Although she grows fond of the older girl, Heidi is terribly homesick.Heidi becomes ill of homesickness, she starts to walk in her sleep. When the doctor sees Heidi walking around in her sleep, he finds the right diagnosis and sends her back to the alps.

White Fang is one of the great books written by Jack London. He uses his unique style of writing to describe the animals and their surrounding in a very interesting manner. The story takes place in Yukon Territory and the Northwest Territories, Canada, during the 1890s Klondike Gold Rush and details White Fang's journey to domestication. It is a companion novel (and a thematic mirror) to London's best-known work, The Call of the Wild, which is about a kidnapped, domesticated dog embracing his wild ancestry to survive and thrive in the wild. White Fang is part dog and part wolf. He soon learns to follow the harsh law of the North--kill or be killed. White Fang experiences the violent world of wild animals and the equally violent world of humans. As well as the kind nature of humans and how hard it can be for a wild animal to adapt to humans and their way of life. If you like animals, especially dogs you have to read this book.

Folklore, legends, myths and fairy tales have followed childhood through the ages. The winged fairies of Grimm and Andersen have brought more happiness to childish hearts than all other human creations. Yet the old time fairy tale, having served for generations, may now be classed as "historical" in the children's library; for the time has come for a series of newer "wonder tales" in which the stereotyped genie, dwarf and fairy are eliminated, together with all the horrible and blood-curdling incidents devised by their authors to point a fearsome moral to each tale. Modern education includes morality; therefore the modern child seeks only entertainment in its wonder tales and gladly dispenses with all disagreeable incident. Having this thought in mind, the story of "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz" was written solely to please children of today.
