Verisimilitude is important, and the author has taken care to reproduce the dimensions, proportions and layout of the Nautilus as Verne related, including quotes from his novel as source references. Re. areas not covered by Verne, I have attempted to 'fill in the blanks' in a logical and straightforward fashion, illustrating subsystems, auxiliary equipment and other features of interest as I believe Verne would have.
