    (Independently published, May 23, 2020)
I ran up Shephard's Mountain to escape the Monsters that were chasing me......and the Demons that were haunting my memories.Instead, I fell into a world where Magic is the New Black and the Challenges I face have nothing to do with curling irons and study groups.Drae Hallow is the home of Rule 9 Academy where nobody is normal and we're all a little bit of strange. They've invited me to attend their School for Magicals. Apparently, there's something inside of me and it wants to come out to play. But I need to learn to control it before it controls me.I'm game... After all, I might be my Momma's trouble; but I've always been my Daddy's stubborn.I'll need every bit of it too, because something else roams the woods after dark, and it doesn't have anything to do with Shifting 101. Together, with the help of others just like me, we'll have to uncover the lies before it's too late. The Magical world depends on us to find out the truth...or its Lights Out, Dark Ages and Witch Hunts all over again. If I'm not careful, my first semester might just be my last.Fire Born Dragon will resonate with fans of BR Kingsolver and G.K. DeRosa...
  • Christopher and Columbus

Hardcover (Forgotten Books, Jan. 25, 2018)
Excerpt from Christopher and ColumbusThe gulls, circling white against the gloomy sky over the rubbish that floated on the Mersey, made them feel extraordinarily forlorn. Empty boxes, bits of straw, orange-peel, a variety of dismal dirtiness lay about on the sullen water; England was slipping away, England, their mother's country, the country of their dreams ever since they could remember - and the St. Luke with a loud screech had suddenly stopped.Neither of them could help jumping a little at that and getting an inch closer together beneath the rug. Surely it wasn't a submarine already?About the PublisherForgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books. • Dragon Magic

    Elizabeth A. Romey

Paperback (Royal Fireworks Publishing, March 15, 2003)
Lera and Zad travel to The Conclave of Land and Sky, the first meeting of human and dragon sorcerers in centuries. There they learn that all dragons do not support the reunion of the two species. Zad, coming of age and beginning to be accepted into the circle of his own species, becomes immersed in dragon culture. Lera, now famous, is looking to expand on her earlier achievements and prove her magical abilities to humans and dragons alike. Amid feats of magic of many kinds, Lera meets a young human sorcerer, Ranon, who leads her on a great quest for the legendary magical artifacts of humans and dragons. These lost artifacts are magical objects of unknown powers that can only be used by a team of human and dragon working in concert. The dragons speaking of the artifacts imply that there is a sinister aura about them. However, Lera's excitement for the search renders her deaf to the subtle warnings. She travels with Ranon and becomes infatuated with him and his abilities. Ranon, taken with Lera and the possibility that she might be his magical equal, unmasks. He is a shape-shifter, really a dragon in disguise. Worse, he is the creator if the artifacts and has been leading Lera deeper into his world and thoughts. He plans to take over the world and conquer time. He offers Lera a place as his consort. Furious, Lera publicly denounces Ranon, and in a fantastic tit-for-tat magical duel banishes him to another place of existence using his own magic. Suffering the pangs of grief, anger love and loneliness, she welcomes Granny Rellavir Dragon's comforting. Lera and Zad realign, and promise to be worthy forevermore of each other's trust. Eventually, she overcomes the other dragons' mistrust and is granted a place on the council to decide the fate of the artifacts.
