Gene, a junior high school student, is constantly harassed, ridiculed, and left feeling like the world would be better off without him. Trying to conceal his embarrassment, he inadvertently drags his best friends Melissa and Sandy into a rapidly growing and dangerous situation. The kids try to handle things themselves until the violence increases, and they have to get the school and their parents involved. Police, the state laws, and school procedures turn things upside down when one of them goes missing, but they all come together in the search as more drama unfolds.
  • Samuel Arthur Peach

    Edward Cullen

    Paperback (lulu.com, Dec. 30, 2011)
Samuel Arthur Peach is a connected series of ten stories about a boy who revels in mischief and creating his own amusements. He appears to have a disdain for "normal" behaviour and disregard for popularity. He just doesn't fit in. His parents have lost all patience with him. But although he may be seen as an unlikeable character his misdeeds, adventures and calamities will amuse and entertain. The outrageous things he dreams up end in disaster or punishment but he remains irrepressible. More discerning readers may consider how his self-absorption and disdain for others could develop into major problems both for himself and those around him. Samuel Arthur Peach is a social delinquent, intimately seen in the years when he is still under restraint (just) and when breaking into a building is merely an amusing childish prank.
