David and the Phoenix is a children's book published in 1957 of a little boy's exciting ventures with a phoenix. The first printed story by the children's writer in America Edward Ormondroyd, is a book of friendship of two unlike creatures: a little boy and a magical bird, and centers on David's learning in the ways of the mystical sphere. The story concludes with the phoenix's renascence. The story opens with David living in a new home at the foot of so many lovely mountains. The following day, other than stay into his new home, he opts to climb the mountains. When he reached the highpoint, he sees the Phoenix. At first, they are scared of one another, as the bird was being hunted by mad scientists for a few weeks and David had, obviously, never saw something like the Phoenix in his life. The bird is somewhat pleased by David's kindness, and exchanges a light towards him. Therefore, the Phoenix agrees that he must provide David with knowledge of the different mythical creatures in the world to let him explore some wonderful myths. Although years of hiding away from scientists have made the bird's wings floppy, and David has to train the pretty whacky bird on his flying. Edward Ormondroyd is a story writer.
