  • The Parable of the Young Priest: Without Love You Have Nothing

    Melvin Douglas Wilson

Hardcover (Yorkshire Publishing, June 23, 2020)
The Parable of the Young Priest is another tremendous book written by Melvin Douglas Wilson, the author of The Good Book, The Parable of the Spirit that Whispers, and Jimmy's Got A Gun - The Crash Brothers Forever. The Parable of the Young Priest brings out an important biblical theme to children concerning one of the most powerful forces in the world today, which is love. This book applies the use of a parable, and exceptional illustrations throughout the book to paint a clear and vivid picture in the mind of readers the importance of love in our daily lives. The Parable of the Young Priest also teaches a very valuable lesson: "It's not about whom you may know in this world, or what you may know in this world, but it is about the love that you show to God first, and the many other people that you come in contact with in this journey we call life." The Parable of the Young Priest has been re-written primarily for children ages six to twelve, but the great biblical themes in the story can provide wisdom and moral teaching for adults of all ages.

    Doug Wilson

    Paperback (XLIBRIS, Sept. 5, 2017)
Peter, a thirteen-year-old loner, is forced by his mother in England to spend two weeks of holiday with his recently widowed aunt on the Irish island of Inishbofin, or the Island of the White Cow. On the ferry across, he meets Siobhan. She’s a year older. The island is suddenly struck by two tragedies, as two islanders have gone missing. On a walk, Peter meets two small men, who turn out to be the Irish fairy leprechauns. They inform Peter and Siobhan that they too are changelings, having been substituted at birth for normal babies. It is a time of great evil, and the Miasma of Evil is moving on to God-fearing citizens. The Miasma has recruited the terrifying Irish fairy horses, or Dullaghans, with their headless black riders. Peter and Siobhan become leaders in the fight, together with historic characters, including the sixteenth-century female pirate Grace O’Malley. They are transported by a Time Rail, which places them in the sixteenth century, where Peter has to rescue himself from Grace’s pirates. The battle against the dreaded Miasma is getting close. Siobhan is found to be the incarnation of one of the Irish fairy’s greatest warriors from the past. • Jimmy's Got a Gun: The Crash Brothers Forever

    Melvin Douglas Wilson

Hardcover (Yorkshire Publishing, Nov. 8, 2017)
Jimmy's Got a Gun--The Crash Brothers Forever addresses one of the biggest problems that is plaguing urban areas in the world today, which is gang and gun violence. This book brings to light the seven major themes listed below and applies both a moral message and a spiritual solution to heal these social problems. The overarching theme of this story is that God always has a plan for our lives. All lives matter to God! (Black, White, Hispanic, Indian, Middle Eastern, European) Only God can change the heart of any individual, with His Word. Everyone needs to be a force for good in our neighborhoods. We all need to show mercy to each other in this life so that when we are judged by God, God will show mercy to us. We must push for better education for all people, in all neighborhoods, establishing both secular and spiritual learning. The people in urban neighborhoods across this country must work aggressively with their local police to help stop crime in their area of the city. Telling on people (snitching) who seek to destroy your neighborhood with crime, drugs, ungodly behavior, or intimidation is not a bad thing to do, but it is necessary to provide order in your community. The worst thing to do is to do nothing! Jimmy's Got a Gun--The Crash Brothers Forever is another tremendous book written by Melvin Douglas Wilson, the author of The Good Book, The Parable of the Spirit that Whispers, and The Parable of the Young Priest.
