  • Trip to the Moon in a Yellow Balloon

    Franklin Eff

Paperback (Austin Macauley, Jan. 31, 2019)
""Early one morning --eh-hem, well, umm by that, I mean between eleven and noon, Malachy Boogie and Mad Baboon hatched a plan that they'd go to the Moon and set off looping for a rocket but only found a spoon and a packet of crayons and a yellow balloon. ""No. No,"" said Malachy, ""this won't do. There's not enough lift in this balloon for two, Besides which thing of the details, Baboon: Where shall we eat? And where shall we sleep? There's really nowhere to sit and how exactly do you see the crayons and spoon as a fit?"" The contents of this humble tome relate that most curious tale of how Malachy discovers that the Mad Baboon had, in fact, found all of the items that they would ever require to get to the Moon in a hot air balloon. Our brave heroes soon afterward set forth on their lunar-dash (with not a little Panache) in the company of their very dearest friends: Daisy cat, the old blind Mouse, the curious but helpful Grouse, a wary old Owl and a Guinea Fowl. Along the way, they meet an interesting cast of characters, including the very venerable Man in the Moon himself but ultimately find themselves Nad-bound for fashion reasons. A most curious, mysterious and unexpected outcome I'm sure you'll agree--an in-depth understanding of which may only be achieved when you, dear reader, have delved into these pages for yourself
