  • Ziegfried the Zombie's Good Eats Guide: Your One Stop Shop for “No Brainer” Recipes

    M.D. Johnson

    language (, Oct. 27, 2015)
First and foremost I have to say, you have a great and profound brain on your shoulders, for making the most intelligent choice of choosing Ziegfried the Zombie’s Good Eats Guide: Your One Stop Shop for “No Brainer” Recipes. This cook book was named so, for it’s brilliant 2 ingredient recipes, which will not utilize a lot of brain power to make, thankfully. Lord knows I need all the help I can get. It seems no matter how many brains I consume, I just never have enough brain power longevity to comprehend or maintain even a reasonable thought. That’s why I love this cook book. I promise you will not have to exert a lot of much needed brain power. Most of the recipes presented in this book go great with brains, whether raw, fried, baked, broiled, poached, grilled or boiled. We start you out with lovely 2 ingredient adult beverages sure to wet the palate and wash the brains down nicely. Then we present several side dishes to compliment my most favored delectable main course choice: brains, with a couple of main course dishes and last but not least, dessert. (However, you can skip dessert, since brains render a certain sweetness unlike any other, especially the young, tender, juicy ones). There is no food like “brain” food. All hail the medulla oblongata!

  • Peach and Plum

    M Johnson

    Paperback (1072 Studio, Nov. 20, 2019)
Peach and Plum opens with seven year-old Mayfair Tootle, who steps into the world of Maverick Elementary as a new student on the first day of school. And things like: Fifth graders who hog the kickball court, snooty school yard cliques, a Pop Star girl, school yard games like High Jump and One Fly Up, a dog named Monster, googlie-eyed school yard crushes, a substitute teacher, the Harvest Moon Potluck, a couple of birthday parties, and a crazy school yard brawl on the first day of school, all set the story of Peach and Plum in motion as the school year rolls itself out. Mayfair easily makes new friends at Maverick Elem (what the children call it), and everything is fine until the leader of The Snootish Girls, Kiara Campbell, gets kicked out of her own clique. When she highjacks Mayfair's litle circle of friends, Kiara banishes Mayfair's BFF from the group simply because Xembi reminds Kiara of another girl she can't stand. Fed up with Kiara's mean-girl ways and holding everybody hostage during lunch and recess, Mayfair stands up to Kiara when she finds out that Xembi might go to home school because of the bullying. And just when things get back to normal, Mayfair has one last show down with Kiara Campbell on the last day of school.

There are places we’d expect a witch to live, but maybe witches are adaptable…WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE PART OF THE BOOK?The concept. You hear about witches in a lot of stories, how they live in the deep forest or a gingerbread house, or the swamp or a castle. I just wanted to let the world know that witches (and anyone for that matter), have different tastes, no matter who they are. We shouldn’t have to live in the shadow of a stereotype. I also thought introducing kids to the idea of real estate would be odd, funny and educational… WHAT DO YOU HOPE READERS WILL TAKE AWAY?Not to stereotype anyone. Realize witches (and all kinds of beings) live in all kinds of places. WHAT CHILDREN’S BOOKS INSPIRED YOU?“Dr. Seuss”, “Santa’s Underwear”, “Pete the Cat”, “The Bad Seed”, “Bad Kitty”, “Polar Bear, Polar Bear, What Do you Hear?”, “The Day the Crayons Quit”, “Grumpy Monkey”, “Dragons Love Tacos”, “I Need a New Butt”, “The Wonkey Donkey”, “Giraffes Can’t Dance”, “Ricky, the Rock that Couldn’t Roll”, “Splat the Cat”…WHAT ARE THE GENRES OF YOUR E-BOOK?HumorFolktales/ FairytalesGraphic NovelsHolidays & CelebrationsFantasyScary StoriesGrowing Up & Facts of LifeEarly LearningEducationNaturePlease note all children’s books are written to enhance your child’s vocabulary. Advanced words should render the question, “What does that mean?” from your daughter or son. Images in books come from a multitude of graphic artists and photographers to add graphic diversity. Ages for children’s books range from 3 years of age to adult age, or grown-ups who are children at heart. Each story told offers a moral or bit of wisdom and is often told in poetic fashion.
