  • Jovi Goes Adventuring: Nighttime Adventures in the Woods

    Ed Griffiths

    (G/pub, March 19, 2019)
Bed time can be a special time for kids. It gives parents some quiet time to interact with a child; one on one. With the right topics it can be a great teaching time. That is how these stories came into being. These books were begun for our grandchildren., so every story includes a grandchild as an active participant in the adventures. In addition, They get to use their imagination, and suggest other characters or other story lines. We always end the stories with happy endings, with a moral and then their nightly prayers. On a side note, by the end of a story, they are usually relaxed and ready to go right to sleep. As the children grow older, they like to read the books themselves, and even imagine stories for themselves so the teaching continues. The characters of the stories have definitive personalities, which are reflective of how they interact with us and each other in real life. Moxie stealing Rupert’s bones and Cooper helping turtles across the road or bringing us to an injured raccoon are just a few examples.
