Cuthbert lives alone at the bottom of the sea and, one day, meets a pretty girl cuttlefish who he tries to impress. His efforts to get to know her come to nothing and when he finally understands the problem, he quickly goes about putting things right. The story aims to show something of what this strange little creature can do; camouflage, change colour etc. and also teaches that being yourself, rather than something that youโre not, is always the best way of making friends. The second half of the book comprises black and white outline copies of the full colour pictures, together with advice and encouragement, allowing those children who have the appropriate Apps; the iPad or similar, to colour the pictures electronically for themselves or, for those who prefer the more traditional methods, to print them out and colour them with pencil, crayon, pen or brush.
