Imaginary is a full length play intended for young audiences about a young boy, Val, who after losing his mother has to grow up fast. That means giving up his Imaginary friend, Cassidy, to the Foster Home where all imaginary friends go when their kids grow up. As Val grapples with an encroaching world of complex emotions and decisions, Cassidy remains hopeful his boy will always come back to him. A story about the inner-child in all of us and being a kid could save the world. Intended for young audiences (ages 5-14) this affecting story of growing up is something that parents and children alike can enjoy. This play offers several strong roles for young actors and an expandable chorus of parts for children's theaters with a lot of young talent. The imaginary friends themselves also allow for great opportunities in costume, makeup, and hair design to bring them to life; your imagination is your only limitation! Imaginary is very funny, heartfelt, honest, and adventurous with plenty of lessons to learn for kids and grownups alike. A story about the power of friendship, imagination, and growing up that the whole family can enjoy.
