These three stories tell of the adventures of Durrak the purple dragon and his friends. Follow the exciting exploits of Durrak, Selena and Ben on their magical journeys. Eleven year old Selena from Cornwall meets a dragon and persuades him to fly her to the Amazon rainforest with her friend Ben. She wants to find some pirates' treasure which she has heard is very valuable. They encounter many deadly creatures and have to find ways to outwit them. The second story describes how Durrak and the children intend to discover and rescue Jia-Li, a golden Chinese dragon who has been imprisoned by a warlord. Durrak is pining for a mate and falls in love with Jia-Li even before he meets her.Finally, the children and the dragons are on a mission to find an errant member of their family, lost in a zoo, but this proves more dangerous than they expected.
