Pincin, the prince of the watery kingdom of Nereidia Pacific, spends much of his playtime on a quest to gather a growing number of waste items floating in the blue Pacific Ocean. He finds unlikely allies in a kindly fisherman and his two young granddaughters, Gracie and Sophia, a family he encounters afloat near Santa Catalina. Once the girls are treated to a fantastic journey into Pincin's undersea realm, they are made aware of the devastation caused by the millions of pieces of garbage washed into the ocean each year. They resolve to educate the children of their school on these dangers and to encourage recycling projects in their area by means of a catchy new slogan: Help Our Pacific or H.O.P. To It! • Pincin And The Blue Whales: Book Two - Helping Our Ocean Friends

    Daria H Brooks, Clare Brooks

Paperback (Roisin Dubh Books, Aug. 15, 2019)
On the heels of "A Legacy Of The Pacific" and the solo adventure, "Pincin, Prince Of The Pacific" comes a new tale of valor above and below the ocean waves, "Pincin And The Blue Whales." Young Prince Solas, nicknamed 'Pincin, ' continues his campaign to rid the Pacific Ocean of the tons of plastic garbage that pollute the waters from the coast of California to the shores of Japan. In this story, he is again joined in his cause by his friends from the coast--Gracie and Sophia--and their grandfather, Captain Breaux. While collecting plastic to be recycled, the children witness one of the most amazing sights of our coastal waters: A blue whale and her wayward calf. The kids soon find themselves rescuing the distressed calf amidst the attention of well-meaning viewers along the shoreline and a news helicopter crew who might inadvertently reveal the existence of the secretive mermaid nation of Nereidia Pacifica. In addition to Pincin's land-dwelling friends, he is also joined by his magical mermaid sisters, the Princesses Ciona and Bual-lile and, as always, his faithful pal, Bubble The Dolphin. As with "Pincin, Prince Of The Pacific," this adventure teaches the importance of ocean ecology and the need to protect our endangered cetacean population as they migrate along our western coast.

eBook (Cedar Grove Books, June 25, 2011)
Adventure, romance and intrigue meet in a titanic clash within the tale "A Legacy Of The Pacific," a paean to Southern California and her golden shores. Ride on the back of a bottle-nosed dolphin at breakneck speed through the waves of the blue Pacific. Race against giant seahorses and battle beside immortal mermaids and medieval knights. Take a stand and save your city from a usurper bent on political upheaval while you fend off destruction from sea quakes and tsunamis, as well as from the onslaught of deadly pollutants courtesy of the mysterious beings of an ever-encroaching and often hostile neighboring civilization. Twelve-year-old Pincin is the recently discovered heir to the throne of the magnificent and ancient city-state of Nereidia Pacifica. He decides soon after being reunited with his family that having two elder sisters and the responsibilities of being a King is not a more favorable existence when compared to romping the oceans with the dolphin pods and otter colonies along the Pacific shores. A series of calamitous events force the young Prince to come to terms with the willful Princess Lile, a warrior bent on taking her place as Nereidia's monarch, and the winsome and ditzy Princess Ciona. He finds protection and companionship with his cousins: Curadh, the mighty leader of the Royal Guard; Hipponus, the brawny leader of an all-male Centaurian tribe, and Asterus, a shunned outcast and student of the occult. Once joined in their cause, Pincin's family assists him in seeking his rightful place among the people of this fantastic seascape peppered with 1930s California vernacular architecture, billowing kelp forests and sand castle structures. Along their quest, the siblings encounter aquatic heroes from diverse points around the globe who teach them that the myths and legends of the water deities of old have a vital message to impart in aid of saving our oceans and their inhabitants in the present day.
