  • I Know Who Shot Texas Ranger Woods

    Eva P. Scott

    language (, Sept. 18, 2016)
Does your family have a story that seems too weird to be true? Do you know if your family has stories? Perhaps you were like some of my cousins when I started this project. Some had never heard the story of the Texas Ranger, and some of the other stories that were weaved into this book. These stories (but, obviously, not the parts I added) in my family were told by uncles and aunts while we were sitting around outside on warm summer days on my grandparents’ front porch. The stories were entertaining, and they sparked our imagination. +++When doing research for this book, my cousin Billy Glynn and I did find a Texas Ranger who disappeared while working undercover searching for cattle thieves. His name is used in this book. This only built more intrigue into our family stories. Are any of them true? You will have to decide for yourself.

  • What A Nice Guy: No Strangers! No Secrets!

    D. L. Scott

Paperback (Independently published, April 25, 2017)
Read the children's story that goes beyond "Good Touch, Bad Touch." "What A Nice Guy" is a riveting story that shares the events of a young girl who moves from a gated community in Harlem, N.Y to the suburb of Teaneck, N.J. As mother and daughter adapts to their new community, they encounter Mr. Nice Guy. "What A Nice Guy" was written to raise awareness on child sexual assaults and abductions. As a survivor, my goal is to impact the world with positive change. To do so, I need the support of an individual who would raise awareness but also have the ability implement laws to protect victims. To my surprise, former President Barack Obama replied with a letter of encouragement. A message from the 44th President of the United States “Sexual assault is an affront to our basic decency and humanity, and I admire your courage in sharing your story. This issue affects all of us and is about the safety of those we love most: our wives, our daughters, and our sons.” ~ President Barack Obama The book includes a lesson plan for both child and parent. Parents, it ‘s time to have "the talk" with your children. Child predators reside in every community and some families. It’s our responsible to raise awareness and protect the innocence of children.

  • The Black Dwarf

    Scott

Hardcover (Columbia University Press, Oct. 28, 1993)
Set in south-west Scotland in the immediate aftermath of the 1707 Union, The Black Dwarf was intended to be a story about the first, abortive, Jacobite uprising of 1708. Instead it developed into a gothic tale of the supernatural. This new edition brings out the virtues in the story, long overlaid by Scott's embellishments in later editions.
