Firstly, I wanted to write the kind of book I grew up with; Hacker Gran is a classic British children’s comedy fiction about the ordinary person fighting bureaucracy. Secondly, I wanted to write not only a funny children’s book but one that examines serious topics such as family, friends and social issues.And thirdly, I wrote Hacker Gran to highlight an important issue which occurred at that time of my wife's death which was that if you shared a joint bank account and your partner died, the bank automatically froze your account causing unforeseen difficulties. ˃˃˃ Why should readers give this book a try?For young adults, or even adults who enjoy a cosy, affectionate, humorous comedy with many hilarious twists and turns this is the ideal children’s fiction book.
