  • THINK HIPS! The Five Minute Hip Flexor Stretch Solution: Simple Hip Flexor Strengthening Exercises to Reduce Joint Pain & Increase Muscle Flexibility

    L.W. Bentley

    eBook (, Oct. 12, 2019)
I had been suffering from lower back pain for the last few years, and presumed it was something I would just have to live with as a side-effect to being a slouching desk jockey, chained to my Mac 8 hours a day.And then one morning, over my usual post-shower caffeine fix and social media catch up, I saw a Facebook post from a gym-bunny friend of mine, complaining about her sore hip flexors after using a foam roller incorrectly. To be honest, she might as well have been talking about home decorating, as 90% of her post initially made no real sense to me - until we caught up over lunch. And then she explained her muscle injury and how she wished that she did some research before launching into a new workout routine. Now I'm most definitely not a gym addict - I try to go three times a week, and then mostly for light cardio on the treadmill, exercise bike and maybe the rowing machine if I'm feeling particularly adventurous. But after some research, it seemed that her injury and my constant back ache had something in common - hip flexors. This led me to carry out a lot more research, which eventually turned into this little book - and my release from constant nagging lower back pain.Maybe like me, until recently you had never heard of hip flexors, and were unaware how easy they can be to exercise and stretch, and the everyday benefits that unlocking or loosening them can have. And that’s why I wanted to share my discoveries, in the hope that they can benefit you too. The idea is that you’ll easily be able to read this book in one sitting, and that it’ll be a handy form of reference (on your Kindle or smartphone if you have the digital version, or the pocket-sized paperback) for you to carry out the five simple exercises as often as you like. I appreciate that many of us prefer videos over illustrations to explain exercises, so where possible I've included links to helpful instructional videos too.I look forward to helping you to have stronger, less tight hip flexors and all the benefits that come with them!L.W. • Mystic Antarctica

    Doug Bentley

eBook (Doug Bentley, Aug. 27, 2019)
They Found The Holiest Land! Now You Can Explore It!Antarctica in 75+ New Jaw Dropping NASA Grade Maps! The whole continent in pinpoint detail! You can't argue with a map! What can I tell you? The shock I experienced when I first viewed these maps of Antarctica shattered my mind. I experienced a complete collapse of reality. You can’t find this stuff on Google Maps. What I saw could not possibly exist. It had no precedents at all in the modern world. Whole mountains merely carven statues? Spaceport megacities? brilliantly illumined? buzzing with activity? Resting in tropical hued splendor? In this, the most forbidding, treacherous climate imaginable???? So, of course, I had to descend into this madness further, further.. one lost mariner stealing snapshots of secrets not secret anymore. Here only The Southern Cross keeps constant fix. Everything else just spins spins spins.....The first wave of European Antarctic explorers- heroes all- returned babbling. Those with no knowledge or imagination dismissed such sights, so easily scoffed at, as hysterical nonsense. Obviously such tales were just incoherent rantings, sad confirmations that the brutal ice kingdoms were no lands for the foolish to challenge.Fortunately, stronger souls discerned in those heroes' fevered ramblings hints of obscure, quaint legends from long lost times before time. But those stories were kept by simple polar dwellers a whole planet away- aboriginals of the high Canadian arctic. Was there any connection between the two?Did Canadian Inuit tales of a magical world within a luminous Aurora Borealis hold the key? We haven’t dug far enough to know what’s really down there, have we? Our deepest dig, a 12 mile deep hole, isn’t quite the center of the earth, is it?These were just the first waves of uninvited, colonial wanderers who fell off the edge of the world. We've come a long way since. We know better now. Soon NASA will even tell us whether the moon’s a rock?… a balloon?… a clock, perhaps! Can the same be said for this terra firma? This selection of maps will help you find some answers to impossible questions like these. It contains many of the most astonishing, overview snapshots of past antediluvian- prior to major comet destruction?- civilizations readily visible to casual observers of the digital continent. Now you can visit otherworldly archaeological sites too! Mystic Antarctica is truly a book that sells itself among readers of this genre. I invite you to take a look inside Mystic Antarctica. After all, we’ve come this far. Why turn back now?
  • The Adventures of Anna ... At the Aquarium

BEST CHILDREN’S BOOKSI am still in search of this “best kids books to read” or” best kids stories” or any variation thereof as a designation for my kids books which I had so much fun and pleasure putting together. As the market for both books online and books for kids online grows, I am sure this will be harder and harder to achieve and maintain once achieved. But, being one of the best books for kids to read is a goal worth working hard for and for which I am ready and excited to continue. In this kids picture book, the series continues the educational adventures of Anna, her friend Susan and her parents going to the Aquarium. The book’s format remains the same with more beautiful, engaging and appealing pictures intermingled with the text in a very non-traditional and intriguing format that immediately catches the reader’s attention. This story is highlighted with pictures of jellyfish that look like cauliflower, broccoli, and fireworks as well as many colorful but very poisonous South American Rainforest frogs. The more colorful the frog, the more poisonous it is.One reviewer wrote: Wonderful Book That Your Child Will Love, June 4, 2013It is a real pleasure writing this review on "The Adventures of Anna ... At the Aquarium because there are so many great things to say about this book. First of all I was very impressed with the way the author wove the story around images of what Anna was seeing during her trip. What a great way to present a book for young readers! Another very strong point was the amount of information contained in the book about what Anna was viewing at the aquarium. The author include interesting facts about each and every creature in a way that could certainly spark more discussion between the parent and child reading this book together. Yet one more reason to buy this book is how very well written and well organized the book is which makes it very enjoyable to read. Finally I was impressed that the author took the book to the next level by also including links to topic relevant videos at the end of the book thereby providing an extra bonus to the reader who purchased this book. IMHO very deserving of a 5-Star rating!”So why don't you and your little one take a new kind of exciting trip to the Aquarium? I'm sure you won't be disappointed as the Anna series continues to work towards its goal of being in the Best Children’s Books category.

Best Children’s BooksI know, as the author, I am not supposed to classify my kids picture books, The "Adventures of Anna" kids book series as the best in children’s books but I can strive for this goal and I do.The Anna series is an educational adventure series of books for toddlers that first takes Anna and her parents on a trip to the Zoo. The books are informative and interesting books for kids but that parents will enjoy as well. There are many beautiful, engaging and appealing pictures intermingled with the text in a very non-traditional and intriguing format that immediately catches the reader’s attention. The story is further highlighted with exciting, little-known facts about animals that you would not necessarily learn at a real trip to the zoo. For instance, the word giraffe means camel plus leopard (a big tall camel with spots), that camels eat fish, and that zebra’s stripes are like fingerprints (none are alike). One reviewer wrote: “I loved the story of Anna …. The way the pictures were intermingled with the text was very appealing. The pictures were extremely well done and fit the story very well. I can't believe how much I learned from a children's book …”Why don't you and your little one(s) take an eye-opening and exciting trip to the Zoo today from the comfort of your home by reading about Anna’s Adventures at the Zoo? You won't be disappointed, I’m sure, as the Anna books for children series continues to work it’s way up to owning the designation of Best Children’s Books.

  • GO

    Doug Bentley

eBook (Doug Bentley, Oct. 17, 2013)
A Comedy of The AbsurditiesTime Ladies PleaseThe chapter opened with a 17th Century philosopher being bolted from sleep by a “dazzling, unendurable light” that “provided answers to tremendous problems that had been taxing him for weeks.” The dazzling, unendurable light that spontaneously erupted into Descartes’ dreamy consciousness just as quickly and mysteriously disappeared from it forever. Four centuries of scientific research and technological innovation later that sudden and spontaneous eruption from dreamy consciousness is still inspiring answers to tremendous problems. Will a time-traveling qubit of information be our new dazzling, unendurable light blazing a path of discovery before it too? That would be astonishing. What’s more astonishing is that we live in a cosmos in which all of these phenomena occur.-Philosophical Fragments Of Your Ancient NameDoug Bentley“What’s more astonishing is that we live in a cosmos in which all of these phenomena occur.”Aye! Them’s the rubs! And who can be less astonishing than 2 unassuming fools wanderers through life’s little existential mysteries? A pair of paltry, wayward tramps?- time trodders, to be truthful? Who, I ask you? Who?Then I ask you, truly- Who was Shakespeare, really? Was he a man before his time? Or a man beyond time? Four centuries is certainly too long of an absence from any public stage for even a man ahead of his time like Shakespeare to fully state his case. On the other hand, a man beyond time is always present to rest it, isn’t he? 'Prediction is very difficult, especially about the future.' Yogi Berra knew. Maybe that’s just because Yogi was a man ahead of his time. Maybe Yogi got it backwards? Maybe time’s not a straight line future forward thing at all? A man beyond time must be everpresent, musn’t he? How can an immortal be absent? That’s anabsurd, impossible assumption. So, time’s simultaneous. Flatlanders need to search Elsewhere for answers to life’s little mysteries? Don’t you agree, Mr Bohr? Thus armed with our new understanding of time, the utterly self-evident, simple proposition that the everpresent existence of the immortal “Mr. W.H.” must be somewhere- I foolishly set forth to find him. The world may need to wait for one quantum bit of confirmation to prove his mettle. Serious readers of GO can gain a literary edge on untying one of Shakespeare’s key existential knots here. Who, after all, IS the mysterious “Mr W.H.”? Shakespeare dedicated his Sonnets to him. He was the only person to whom they were “bequeathed”. The finest series of Sonnets in the English Language? Immortal sonnets. Poems where the words are witching sticks! Now, to any serious reader, the essential triangle in The Sonnets- the young man, dark lady, and poet- are main characters in GO. AZOO, my dark lady, a shamanic princess. She guide. the two idiots through underworld adventures that smash their skulls like eggshells. Only clown WILL can glue their shattered shells together. So, all’s well ends...the comedy of the absurdity of our lives finds humorous resolution! And what if it takes two vagabonds and one shamanic princess to make a global clown? So what? Maybe the moon’s a balloon? How about a clock? Why not? No penny ante playwright like me passes out his best play cards to some poker-face passerby like you there. Yah, you. You want to sit in on this roundtable buy a ticket or get the hell out of this lineup. Checkin’s right.NEXT!To the onlie begetter ofthese insuing sonnetsMr. W.H. all happinesseand that eternitiepromisedbyour everliving poetwisheththe well wishingadventurer insettingforthT.T.What’s the point if yah can't even laugh?
