Chased by bullies, seventh grader Kidd Bridges, is rescued by the neighborhood oddball, fourth-grader LeMerquessa Mowbray, aka The Murk. She hides Kidd in the mysterious Mousaman Mansion where he meets its unusual inhabitants: a twelve inch tall girl named Dot Small: the sad giant Mr. Mavi; and finally, the magnificent Mr. Aquila Mousa, a multi-talented mouse created in the mansion’s private laboratory. Mr. Mousa also happens to be the richest and busiest “person” in the world. All of which makes Kidd ask why would Mr. Mousa bother to help find Kidd’s lost dog, Doc Furry. Assisted by little Dot Small and the unpredictable Murk, Kidd finds the surprising answer in an adventure that reveals even more extraordinary wonders. And answers another nagging question. Just what, or who else, was created in the Mousaman Mansion laboratory besides an extra smart mouse?
