Mary Jane is the typical American little girl who bubbles over with fun and the good things in life. The first 16 books in the 19 volume Mary Jane series was published by Barse & Hopkins from 1918 to 1932. Grossett & Dunlap picked up the series in 1933 and ran it for six years until 1939, adding volumes 17 through 19, as well as reprinting the first 16 titles.
