  • The prodigal's prayer

    Chas. Herbert Scholey

Paperback (Leopold Classic Library, June 5, 2015)
About the Book Christian theology is the theology of Christian belief and practice, the study of which concentrates on the texts of the Old and New Testaments, and on Christian tradition. Christian theologians utilize biblical exegesis, rational analysis and argument in their studies. The sub-discipline of Systematic theology formulates an orderly, rational and coherent account of Christian faith and beliefs drawing on the foundational sacred texts of Christianity. Over the centuries Christian theology has permeated and influenced much of Western culture, especially in pre-modern Europe. Also in this Book Religious education refers to the teaching of a particular religion and its key characteristics, such as: beliefs, doctrines, rituals, customs, rites, and roles of the faithful. In Western and secular culture, religious education implies a type of education which is largely separate from the dominant secular curriculum, and is undertaken on a voluntary basis by believers. In societies that adhere to religious law, "religious education" is an inherent part of the core curriculum, which teaches doctrines that define social customs as laws, with violations of them being treated as crimes, or at least misdemeanors requiring punitive action. And in this Book The history of religion refers to the written record of human religious customs, practices and ideas across several millennia. It begins with the invention of writing 5,200 years ago. The prehistory of religion refers to the study of religious beliefs in existence prior to the emergence of written records, which time varies for different cultures.About us Leopold Classic Library has the goal of making available to readers the classic books that have been out of print for decades. • The Prodigal's Prayer: And Fishers of Men

    Charles Herbert Scholey

Paperback (Ulan Press, Aug. 31, 2012)
This book was originally published prior to 1923, and represents a reproduction of an important historical work, maintaining the same format as the original work. While some publishers have opted to apply OCR (optical character recognition) technology to the process, we believe this leads to sub-optimal results (frequent typographical errors, strange characters and confusing formatting) and does not adequately preserve the historical character of the original artifact. We believe this work is culturally important in its original archival form. While we strive to adequately clean and digitally enhance the original work, there are occasionally instances where imperfections such as blurred or missing pages, poor pictures or errant marks may have been introduced due to either the quality of the original work or the scanning process itself. Despite these occasional imperfections, we have brought it back into print as part of our ongoing global book preservation commitment, providing customers with access to the best possible historical reprints. We appreciate your understanding of these occasional imperfections, and sincerely hope you enjoy seeing the book in a format as close as possible to that intended by the original publisher.
