First Edition, published October, 1912, decorated American trade binding. Clean black cloth boards decorated with a large gold clock face, green and rose decoration. Stamped gold lettering on cover and spine. Same decoration in smaller format on spine. Tiny spots of wear to corners. Binding is tight and square, hinges are sound - no cracking. Pages and edges are clean; very brief previous owner inscription at top edge of front free endpaper. Illustrations by Harold Field Kellogg, including frontispiece with tissue guard. 356 pages.
