  • Counting Book of Bugs: Count from 1 to 13

    Cathy Cawood

    language (, April 18, 2016)
How many spots does a ladybug have? What do snails eat? Are caterpillars cute or ugly? This book has thirteen ladybugs, grasshoppers, butterflies, beetles, caterpillars, dragonflies, snails, bees , grasshoppers, cicadas and ants in beautiful color photography. Young children will love counting these bugs, and they can also learn about the bugs as they count. They can even sing along to this book to the tune of "Ten Little Indians".Most counting books only count up to 10, but it makes sense to start with 1-12 because clocks use 1-12, because numbers after 12 are all teens, and it helps kids avoid mixing up 12 and 20. This book counts from 1-13, because it fits the sing-along tune best.
