    The Peabody Family inherit a mansion from a deceased elderly aunt. The mansion holds dark secrets involving magical rituals and animal sacrifice. During a full moon Alice, Tara and Gerry Peabody get caught in a ritual performed by alien creatures the Madios. The teenagers are transported along with the aliens to a parallel world called Perditor. Surrounded by sleeping Madios, the siblings realise they are in danger. As desperation sets in, they are discovered by Majestic Midnight, a race horse once owned by their grandfather. The horse can talk and he promises to take them home. Along the way Majestic Midnight enrols the help of Casper, a Trobian Gypsy whose very presence has a profound effect on Alice.Allies of the Madios try to prevent the siblings from reaching the portal that will take them home to earth. Avenger, Majestic’s brother and Samson Casper’s brother, play their part in trying to enrol the Peabody children to join their cause. As the battle to liberate Perditor from the Madios rages, Alice is seriously wounded. When she wakes, she is confused to find herself in a hospital bed back on Earth. She questions her own mind and considers whether it has all been a dream. Her parents in the meantime think she has run away and attempted suicide as she was found in the nearby lake following her escape from the battle.Alice’s confusion is compounded when she is visited by her Petorian allies who do nothing to confirm that her adventure actually happened. Tara is also refusing to help Alice by going along with the story that she attempted suicide. However, she is determined to regain her strength and get home so she can return to Perditor and continue where she left off.
