Young Mary McDonald has a report to give, but it doesn't take long before she begins to let her mind wander. She has a birthday coming up and she starts spending all her time wishing for a puppy instead of writing her report. When report day comes, Mary has nothing to say and the other children laugh at her. When Mary's teacher gives her another chance to give her report, Mary becomes terrified at the thought of having to stand up in front of her class again. It's then that her grandpa gives her some good advice about public speaking. Mary McDonald's Got Stage Fright is intended to start a discussion between parent and child on how to deal with a case of stage fright.
