Ellie is a Chardhru who lives in a world of full of vampires. A Chardhru is a witch who has strong blood links to vampires. Ellie and her twin brother Danny are now in their third term at St. Montague’s College for magical and supernatural beings. This college is guarded by vampires, good vampires called wardens, whose duty it is to protect the college.Every witch is connected to an affinity from which they can draw their magic and powers. Ellie has found that she has all five affinities which make her very powerful, it also makes her the number one target for the Khamatari, so she is keeping her powers secret. The Khamatari are an organised group of rogue vampires. The leader of this organisation knows of a prophecy which tells of a High Priestess who has all five affinities; it is said that she will bring an end to the Khamatari. Because of this the Khamatari are raiding colleges and are taking over vamp bars and clubs all over the country. They are searching intensely for this unknown High Priestess, wreaking havoc on both the Chardhru and vampire world.Ellie has been having dreams which are turning out to be premonitions. She is using them to help the wardens in their fight against the Khamatari. Ellie came to St. Montague’s as a normal naïve young lady who had no interest in men, or anything else other than drama and music. She wants nothing more than to lead a normal life; however, this is not to be so. Ellie now finds herself juggling her dance and music with things like swordsmanship, spell learning, intense magic practice, and going out on raids… all to help defeat the Khamatari.
