  • The 10 Year Old Poet

    Caleb Thomas

language (Caleb Thomas, Sept. 16, 2012)
This book is written for beginning poets though I want everyone to see the beauty of poetry, words used to create scenes of amazement, so you can appreciate the beauty of whatever you’re reading- in words. Rhyming is only part of the process. Inspiration helps, but your feelings toward it create the scene of beauty which you read. Rhyming is not always used in poetry, and there are different styles. When you’re in a bad mood, sad mood, happy mood, and you want to share your feelings- poetry is the answer. Don’t be upset because you’re not pleased with what you write. Poetry can come from anyone- even you. I wish you good luck, and enjoy my poems!Caleb ThomasAge: 10

Chinese names always ruin a Chinese story for the average reader, and yet to give English equivalents is to destroy the piquancy of the narrative, and load it with an insufferable burden of grandiose Johnsonese. In some cases, where it has been pos sible, the English equivalents of the names have been given, and in other cases the Chinese forms of the names are retained.
