However, I’d always enjoyed writing for children, particularly silly poems and rhymes. When I switched to this genre everything flowed more easily. And Hooter’s so much fun!Where did the idea for Hooter come from?Believe it or not, Hooter started out as a doodle. I used to draw him in the margins of my text books when I was bored at school. Now, many years later he’s starring in a children’s picture book series. When I think about his origins, I can’t help but smile!Are there more Hooter books in the pipeline?At the moment there’s a series of eight Hooter books, but there are definite plans for more. I like the idea of creating stories for Hooter and that’s something I’m already working on. What can I say?
