    Bob Mauldin

language (Blade of Truth Publishing Company, April 3, 2020)
The Terran Alliance looks to the horizon as they explore the far reaches of the galaxy! The Korvil have attacked Earth, setting into motion a full-scale war that humans have little hope of surviving on their own. In the heat of battle, the Shiravans come to their rescue, turning the tide of the enemy invasion. This forms a tentative peace between the two races, but there are many more steps before reaching a full alliance. The aftermath of the attack on Earth leaves millions dead and mixed emotions between the earthbound nations and the spacefaring Alliance. Tensions rise as governments try to infiltrate the organization in order to gain an upper hand in world politics; however, the Alliance has bigger fish to fry as they learn more about their new enemy—the Korvil. Like something from a science fiction book, the massive, bear-like creatures know nothing of peace or mercy, only of power and war. They will stop at nothing until they are the alpha race of the galaxy no matter who they have to kill—even their own.As the war continues, Kitty Hawk, Herald of the Terran Alliance, accompanies a few ships to the Shiravan homeworld in hopes of cementing their partnership to defeat this threat. As she reaches the alien world, she realizes there is more than meets the eye with this peaceful race. Will the leader of the Alliance be able to come to terms with the Matriarch, or will humans now face two powerful threats instead of one?#1 Best Seller in Teen & Young Adult Space Opera eBooks#1 Best Seller in Stargate Series

The Bestselling series is back with book two! After the events at Camp David, the Terran Alliance faces a crossroads—act upon this tragedy and start a war, or refrain and change the course of history. The choice is not easy since the incident leaves a young captain, Lucy Grimes, in full control of the Alliance, thrust against her will into leadership of the most powerful organization known to man. As the Terran Alliance grows in size and strength, there are those both on Earth and off who see this as a direct threat. But they soon find that this fledgling organization isn’t going down without a fight as the Alliance endeavors to defend its home world from all enemies, foreign and domestic. An alien civilization known as the Korvil has captured two humans and are torturing them to learn more about this new enemy. But things suddenly shift when the Shiravi—dubbed the Builders—mount a daring attack on a Korvil ship that results in their rescue. The events this sets into motion will change the frontier of the galaxy for generations to come.#1 Best Seller in Teen & Young Adult Space Opera eBooks#1 Best Seller in Stargate Series

  • Mud and Guts: A Look at the Common Soldier of the American Revolution

    Bill Mauldin

Paperback (Forgotten Books, July 20, 2017)
Excerpt from Mud and Guts: A Look at the Common Soldier of the American RevolutionThe average American in those days was about what he is today:a small property owner who admired independence and occasion ally was even known to practice it. Then, as today, he resented being governed and taxed by a bunch of remote and powerful bureaucrats. He grumbled a lot over little tyrannies such as stamp acts and tea taxes - but a revolution? The very word causes a shud der to run up the bourgeois spine, and if there ever were, and are, two bourgeois societies, they're England and America. Most people would rather be moderately comfortable and safe than stand up and fight for an illusive term like independence. It has been said that if there had been a back door in the Alamo there would be no Texas. Likewise, if the royal administrators who ran the colonies had had an ounce of sense and perception, our hard-nosed radicals, such as Tom Paine, would never have pre vailed and there would have been no revolution, or rebellion, or whatever it was. The British were really nuts to have let all this happen. But that's the way things go when bureaucrats feel safe. They become blind and arrogant. Those were confusing times, however. It's easy today to say.About the PublisherForgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books. Published on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the encampment at Valley Forge. "I do not attempt here to treat the Revolutionary War chronologically nor do I attempt to evaluate tactics or strategy. My outlook on warfare is best illustrated by a cartoon I did some thirty years ago of a soldier in an Italian foxhole reading about the Normandy invasion and observing to his buddy that : "The hell this ain't the most important hole in the world. I'm in it." In that spirit, here is an illustrated essay in which I've had a lot of fun sounding off, rather independently, 202 years after our forefathers declared our independence.
