As a child growing up in Germany I was told the Sandman Story when I had difficulty going to sleep at night. He is said to sprinkle magic sand into the eyes of children at night to bring on pleasant dreams and sleep . My twin daughters where 2years old when I started telling them the story. But each night they would beg me to tell them more. And so the story of Tommy and the Sandman developed and became alive.
